How to use time shifting in LMA
This is a video tutorial covering the same topic as the article.
What is time shifting
Time shifting lets you shift the timestamps of a log file forwards or back relative to other log files. This lets you sync up events between different log files for more effective analysis. For example, you may want to shift test data from one device to the right to bring it in line with the other devices.
How to use time shifting
Left click on relevant log file, then select Time Shift
Enter the shift amount and hit Apply. If you want to shift the time backwards, enter a negative number.
You will see the data immediately respond to the shift. Data shifting applies to every parameter and view that derives from a log file, meaning you only have to sync the files once.
To cancel time shifting, go back to the Time Shift window and enter a 0 second time shift.
