LMA Grid Manipulation

LMA Grid Manipulation

In this article, we'll cover how you can manage and manipulate grids in LMA.

Create a Grid

Select the measure/log file you'd like to work with.

Select a parameter from the list that appears and right-click to display the options available to you.

Click Grid to create a grid of your data. It will look like a spreadsheet.

You can drag and drop additional parameters onto the grid to display more data.

Modifying Your Grid

You can change the order in which the columns are displayed by clicking on the header cell, holding the cursor down, and moving it to its new location.

You can filter your data by clicking on the down arrow that appears when you hover over the header cell and selecting the rows containing the value you selected and want to see.

The drop-down shown above also allows you to Show All or Create a Custom Filter.

If you create a custom filter, you'll be asked for the specifics by which LMA filters your data.

Grid Options

If you right-click anywhere on the grid, you'll be presented with a list of options.

Display Mode

The display mode settings changes how data from various measures and how various attributes are displayed in your grid.

  • Attribute: attribute names are located on the bottom tabs, while the measure is on the column
  • Measure: displays the measure on the bottom and the attribute names at the top
  • Multiple: displays all of your data side-by-side
  • Append: measures information is in line with the data

Export to...

The export to..function allows you to export your data in a variety of file types for use in other programs.

Fixed Column

The fixed column option allows you to change which columns are fixed (and therefore always present) on your graph.

Misc. Option

The Miscellaneous Options tab includes the ability to hide/show other pieces of information you might find useful, such as summary items, dates, and times.

Save to Favorite

You can save your grid to a favorites list for easy reference at a later date. To do so, right-click and select Save to Favorite

Name your favorites group and click OK to proceed.

You can then access your grid by clicking on the Favorite tab located on the left-hand panel and selecting the group you created.

Send to Time Graph

Right-click anywhere on your graph and select Send to Time Graph to create time graphs with your grid data.

Your output will look something like this.

You can toggle back and forth between your grid and your time graph using the tabs immediately below the displays on the near-left side.
