How to Generate the SIF File

Now that you've installed LML, you'll need to generate the System Information File (SIF). You can think of the SIF as a fingerprint for your laptop that allows us to generate a unique license for you.

To do this, go to Start > Link Master LML > SIF_Generator. Alternatively, you can use Start > Link Master LMA > SIF_Generator. This launches the following window:

You'll be prompted to provide the following information:

  • Full name
  • Complete E-Mail address
  • Company name:

You can leave the fourth field, Requirements, blank. When done, click Generate to proceed.

You'll be asked to select the location where you want your SIF saved. You're welcome to save the SIF anywhere you'd like, as long as you're able to return to the location at a later point in time.

How to Obtain Your LML/LMA License

To get your LML license, email your SystemInfo.SIF file to sales@wireless-metrix.com. In return, you'll receive a License.LIF file. You'll need to place a copy of this file into the Link Master LML directory.
